A connection-box, particularly for computers and used with a plug-board 4 provided with printed circuit strips 13a, 13b, 13c, 14a- 14k and lines 15a-15k, comprises ball contacts 10 pressed by springs 11 to project into a chamber 3 formed by sides 1, 2 of the box and spacer elements R, the balls engaging contact areas 18 of strips 13a, 13b, 13c when the plugboard is inserted in the chamber 3. A stopmember 9 for the board is also provided, and springs 11 are connected to input contact tags 12. Strips 14a-14k serve as outputs for lines 15a-15k and connections between the strips and lines are made by semi-tubular rivets 16 inserted through holes 17, the rivets being easily removable so that a different set of connections may be made when required. The spring-pressed balls may be replaced by other spring-pressed contacts, e.g. by mushroom-like elements. The leading end of the plug-board is chamfered (Fig. 4, not shown) to press the balls 10 and to prevent the load from being inserted upside down. When balls are provided to contact both sides of the board, a double bevel extends along part of its edge (Fig. 9, not shown), a single bevel being provided along the remaining edge to orient the plugboard and co-operate with resilient stops similar to the contacts.
