An angularly-adjustable work-table a, for use in welding &c., is carried by a spindle b rotatably adjustable on an arm c which is angularly-adjustable about a spindle d inclined to arm c. In order to allow the centre of gravity of the table a, arm c and the work, to be made approximately coincident with the intersection of the axes of the arm c and spindle d, the arm is laterally displaceable on the spindle by flanges c<SP>1</SP>, d<SP>1</SP> integral with the arm and spindle. Clamping is effected by screws g passing through slots d2 in one flange. The flanges may be perpendicular to the arm c or the spindle d. The angular adjustments are locked by brake-shoes h on fixed brackets h<SP>1</SP>, pressed by hand-operated screws i on to discs j attached to the spindles b, d which also carry capstans k for rotation thereof. Alternatively, the spindles may be rotated by power, and the flanges cl, d<SP>1</SP> may be adjusted by a lead-screw.
