Class 145 A saw 4 and its motor 7 are mounted on opposite arms of a lever frame 5 adjustably pivoted about 16 by a screwed rod 9. engaging a screwed pivot member 15; the saw can be locked in its adjusted position by a screw or by a clamping nut 13 on a stud 11 projecting through a curved slot 12 in the frame 1. The saw table 2 is mounted so that it can tilt about an axis passing through the saw slot 3 and slidable or hinged flaps may be provided to close the gaps exposed between the table and frame 1 in the tilted position of the table. One end of the saw spindle 6 projects through a curved slot 14 so that drives for other purposes may be taken from it.
