791,528. Tents used as children's toy houses. M: S. P. (LUXI-PRODUCTS), Ltd. Aug. 3. 1956 [Aug. 5, 1955], No. 22536/55. Class 20(1) A ridge tent in the form of a toy house comprises a framework built up from four vertical members b to which are pivotally attached side and transverse members b<SP>1</SP>, b<SP>5</SP> at ground and eaves level. Each member b<SP>1</SP>, b<SP>5</SP> is formed of two strips pivoted together, a portion of one strip extending beyond the pivot and being formed with a stop to prevent the strips from pivoting beyond a horizontal position. Links d having pins at their free ends are pivoted to the eaves members b<SP>1</SP>, the pins engaging in bores in the vertical members b to give rigidity to the tent when it is erected; the ridge pole D is supported by means of pins c<SP>3</SP>. The framework is covered by a fabric cover C which may comprise pieces of cloth of differing colours for the roof, walls, &c., and which may have muslin or like material let in to provide windows C<SP>4</SP>. The side of the cover is divided vertically to provide access to the interior, the two flaps so formed being capable of being closed by press studs, a zip fastener or other means. One flap may simulate a door and the sides of both flaps may be formed with tubular slots to stiffen the fabric which may be secured to the framework by tapes. A chimney member C<SP>1</SP> may be secured to the cover with press studs. Specification 725,274 is referred to.
