Abstract

786,180. Pneumatic road scavengering. AKTIEBOLAGET ASBRINK & CO. Nov. 8, 1955 [Dec. 10, 1954], No. 31844/55. Class 107 The elongated suction inlet of a street cleaning nozzle 1 is surrounded by an annular blowing nozzle 2 directed obliquely downwardly towards the suction inlet and is spaced therefrom by a vortex chamber 6 having a closed top 9 and downwardly inclined walls 7, 8. Dirt-laden air is drawn into a cyclone 4 by a fan 3, which discharges into the blowing nozzle 2. Air thus circulates through the apparatus and excess air is bled from the fan outlet through a valve 5. Specification 786,179 is referred to.
