786,070. Vehicle wheels. CORNERCROFT, Ltd. Oct. 3, 1955 [Oct. 2, 1954], No. 28428/54. Class 144 (1). A wheel-cover annulus 10, closing wholly or partially the space between the hub-cap and rim of a wheel, has its marginal edge 105 turned over on to the marginal edge of an annular backing portion 11 the inner periphery of which is bent to form an inboardly extending annular channel 111 whereby the assembly may be secured to the wheel by the means described in Specifications 656,432 and 661,900, [Group XXV]. As shown, the cover 10 and backing 11 are correspondingly shaped and an annular depression 106 in the cover 10 spaces the intermediate portion 102 of the cover from the presented surface of the backing 11. Louvres 104 may be provided in the radially inner portion 103 of the cover 10.
