A vehicle steering wheel with, in an undeformed condition, a substantially circular rim 1 and a depressed hub 5 connected thereto by a number of spokes 4 has rim portions 2 adjacent to the connections to the spokes which are radially inward with respect to the remainder of the rim to provide greater resilience to impact. The portions 2 may be outwardly convex or concave or straight.
