Abstract

785.851. Brassieres. ALCOVER, B., and ALCOVER, M. Nov. 10, 1955, No. 32151/55. Class 141 Brassiere cups are made from three or four layers of material seamed together at their edges by cutting-out with a heated tool, the layers comprising a lining of soft nylon material, a semi-rigid sheet of nylon crinoline, an optional layer comprising a sheet of nylon or other sponge or foam material, and an outer sheet of nylon material. Each cup comprises two pieces 1, 2 joined by a stitched seam which is covered on both sides by ribbon 3. The cups are encircled by thick nylon thread covered by a ribbon 5.
