784,564. Glass manufacture. PITTSBURGH PLATE GLASS CO. Nov. 7, 1955, No. 31785/55. Class 56. Glass sheets during tempering, annealing or spray-coating are supported by their lower edge resting on the spaced loops of a continuous filamentary yieldable member 22 looped around the side members 18, 20 of a framework. The framework may be curved in a horizontal and /or vertical plane to accommodate curved sheets and the height of the supports for the member 22 may be adjustable. The inverted channel member 12 of the framework may be secured to the lower member 28 of a rectangular framework the upper member 32 of which carries a resilient member 36 for engaging the upper edge of the sheet 24.
