Abstract

780,224. Lubricating. NOLAN, N. J. June 27, 1955, No. 18517/55. Class 12 (3). A hinged lid oiler adapted for mounting on machinery comprises a cup 7 provided at one end with a curved tongue 9 with lugs 10 which engage in openings in downwardly-projecting portions 14 of a cover 11. The cover has a resilient tongue 12 which is adapted to bear against the tongue 9 when the cover 11 is opened far enough, the resiliency of the tongue 12 acting to close the cover. In a modification the tongue 12 does not curl around the tongue 9, the flange 15 at one end of the cover engaging the tongue 9 when the cover is sufficiently opened.
