Class 75(1) In a mantle mounting defined by an annular metal unit 10 having a pair of ears 19 for supporting a mantle and protective walls 16 extending upwardly and outwardly of the mantle, the protective walls 16 are defined by opposite sectors of the unit and the mounting presents a pair of depending flanges 25 disposed intermediate the sectors. The protective walls 16 are arcuate and are joined by annular bases 15 to an annular inverted cup, the walls 16, bases 15 and the outer wall 12 of the annular inverted cup forming two channels receiving the lower end of the mantle.
