Abstract
724,970. Vehicle lamps. HOLLINS, J. R. March 17, 1953, No..7319/53. Class 75 (2) and 75 (4). A vehicle lamp comprises a cylindrical casing 15, a radially extending flange 23 on the inside of the casing at an open end thereof, radial ears 24 on the flange, a frusto-conical reflector 22 receivable in the casing and having a rim 33 seating on the flange, cut-outs 34 in the rim and wall of the reflector aligriable with the ears 24 on the flange for locating the reflector in the casing, and a lens 25 fitting the casing and having projections 44 engageable within the cut-outs 34 and having apertures 43 aligned with apertures in the ears 24 to receive lens holding fasteners such as screws 27. An annular gasket 35 is disposed between the rim 33 of the reflector and a flange 41 on the lens and lies radially outside the ears 24. The other end of the cylindrical casing 15 is similarly fitted with a lens and reflector. The two reflectors are arranged back to back and their bases are apertured at 31 to accommodate a single electric bulb 20.
