Abstract
622,796. Battery lamps. SI, L. Y. April 10, 1947, No. 9565. Convention date, July 5, 1939. [Class 39(ii)] To accommodate spare lamps in an electric torch a disc 5 with a central aperture is secured around and behind the lamp bulb, as by an integral flange 6 screwed into the end of the casing 1 which is completed by the screwed lens cap 2 and reflector 4. In the annular space thus defined a number of spare lamps are secured by resilient tongues 17 cooperating with a flange 10 around the aperture in the disc; this aperture may have an insulating lining. 11. The tongues 17 project from plates 14 which have lugs 16 abutting a rib 15 formed on the disc and engage also the inner edges of ears 13 stamped from the disc and folded over the plates to secure them.
