762,586. Teaching arithmetic. PAGE SENSIBLE TOYS, Ltd., H. Nov. 18, 1954 [Nov. 5, 1953], No. 30598/53. Class 146(2). An aid to produce familiarity with numbers and to solve simple problems in arithmetic comprises a plurality of blocks or pieces of uniform width and thickness each marked with a numeral, the numerals being in arithmetical progression, and also with additional markings, as shown, corresponding with its numeral, the blocks being of a length in proportion to the numbers thereon. These blocks are used in conjunction with a score block or gauge of U -form having the length between its limbs equal to the length of the longer block so that various blocks may be fitted between the limbs of the U, which is preferably mounted on a rectangular sheet A to provide a platform on which the blocks can be placed.
