Abstract
761,696. Edge-runner mills. MANN, B. Aug. 11, 1955 [May 11, 1954], No. 13764/54. Class 59 In an edge-runner mill comprising frustoconical rollers co-operating with a driven rotary table, the table comprises an annulus 7, 8 and a cast wear ring built up from a plurality of sections 9 to 14 adapted to be releasably secured to the annulus, the annulus being provided with a rib 16 engageable by a groove 15 formed by the outer edges of the ring sections. The table is secured in position by means of a ring 20, the outer edge of which engages conical surfaces 5, 6 formed by the inner edges of the ring sections, the ring 20 being bolted to the mill base. If the tyres of the rollers should have become concave due to wear, the replacement sections may have a complementary convex upper face 17, Fig. 2. The annulus is formed with driving notches 21 engageable with upstanding keys on the mill base. Specification 726,607 is referred to.
