Abstract

761,622. Cables. GEIPEL, S. July 27, 1966 [Aug. 12, 1954], No. 23484/54. Class 36. A multi-core cable comprises a plurality of insulated power cores 1, 2, each enclosed in a wound or braided screen 3 of tinsel-wrapped or other metallized textile fibre, and an earthing conductor 4 which may be bare or insulated. The cable may also include a pilot core 6. The screens 3 may be electrically connected with the bare earthing conductor 4 by an outer conductive screen 12, or if the conductor 4 is insulated it may be connected to the screens 3 at the ends of a cable length. The cores are laid in a non- conductive cradle 8 and the interstices therebetween are filled with non-conductive material 9.
