Abstract

752,167. Jewellery. RICHELIEU CORPORATION. July 29, 1954 [Aug. 14, 1953], No. 22206/54. Class 43. An article of jewellery such as an ear-ring, necklace, ornamental pin, &c. provided with means for attachment to a wearer is adapted for use as a scent dispenser by providing an ornamental body part 10 with a metal cup-shaped member 21 located within its upper portion to provide a releasable clasp connection with a hooklike member 13, the limb 15 of which is inset slightly at 16 to form a catch element which can be sprung into engagement with an interior flange 24 adjacent the opening 23 of the cup 21. The depth of the cup is sufficient to retain below the bottom of the member 13 a small quantity of liquid or powdered perfume or a fibrous wad 22 impregnated with perfume.
