Abstract

610,900. Jewellery. BLACKMORE, G. E. May 8, 1947, No. 15650/46. [Class 43] An ornament, e.g. a brooch, ring, dress-clip, earring, bracelet or hair clip, has a cavity for an absorbent wad or filling containing perfume, the cavity having a passage downwardly directed to it from a mouth eccentrically placed with respect to the body of the ornament, so that a perfume phial can be applied to the passage and the perfume discharged without waste. The ornamental part B of a twopart brooch has a central depression C at its back, against which fits a rear part D, carrying a pin E and having a passage F leading to the cavity C which houses an absorbent wad G. The entrance H to the passage F is shaped to fit the mouth of a perfume bottle to facilitate refilling. Gaps J in the front part B permit escape of the perfume.
