Class 80(2) [Also in Group VIII] A clutch between a sleeve 29 and the drive shaft 23 on which it is rotatably mounted in mechanism for feeding the work table of a paper-cutting machine (see Group VIII) comprises a pin 54 which, when released from its latching engagement with a spring-loaded pin 51<SP>1</SP> carried by a foot lever 21, is urged by a spring 53 into engagement with an opening 55 is a disc 56 carried by the shaft. The lever 21 is normally urged by springs 45, 45<SP>1</SP> to its. upper position where a cam formation 22 on the upper end of the pin 51<SP>1</SP> engages behind a roller 52 on the pin 54 and so latches it in disengaged position. When depressed to permit engagement of the clutch, the lever 21 is retained in the lower position by a roller 49 on the lever engaging the flanged rim of a cam 57 on a shaft 33 driven from the sleeve 29 by chain- and-sprocket gearing 31; after one revolu-. tion a gap in the cam 57 releases the roller so that the lever 21 is moved upwardly by the springs 45, 45<SP>1</SP>, and the cam formation 22 on the pin 51<SP>1</SP> withdraws the pin 54 to stop the drive.
