Abstract

747,719. Tractor power lift mechanisms. EVE, H. A., and CHEESEWRIGHT, S. G. July 23, 1953 [July 23, 1952], No. 18653/52. Class 79 (1). An implement raising and lowering attachment for a tractor comprises a hydraulic ram 9 mounted on a frame 2 attached to a tractor, a transverse shaft 5 being provided with a pair of quadrant plates 13 formed with slots 12 which engage a pin 11 mounted on the pull rod 8 of the ram 9. The ends of the shaft are fitted with lift arms 6 for attachment to two members of a three-point linkage, the third member being attached to brackets 14 on the frame 2. The slots 12 allow an implement to lift and float according to variations in ground level. A cover 18 is mounted on the frame and is provided with holes for the attachment of a tractor.
