[Also in Group XX] Motors and generators with longitudinally movable elements.-A split-phase linear induction motor for operating X-ray equipment and reversible by reversing the capacitor connection, comprises a pair of wound cores 13 between which a conducting strip 15 is adapted for longitudinal movement.
