746,257. Flexible tube pumps. MASCARO, A. Aug. 19, 1954 [Oct. 30, 1953], No. 24132/54. Class 110(2) [Also in Group XXIX] A spray liquid supply tank 11 is supported by a wheel 13, and a hose 24 extends from below the tank and feeds a spray nozzle 12. The wheel is mounted on an angle 18 extending between channel bars 16, 17, Fig. 3, and a rigid plate 27 is secured to the bar 17. A part of the hose is concentrically arranged about the axle and adjacent the plate 27 and subtends an angle of about 180 degrees. A shaft 32 is fixed to the wheel hub and carries a roller 31 at each'end, so that as the wheel rotates the rollers successively bear against that part of the hose adjacent the plate, compress it, and travel along it, thereby impelling spray liquid along the hose to the nozzle. A canvas flap 39 prevents direct contact of the hose and rollers.
