Abstract

744,690. Girdles. INTERNATIONAL LATEX CORPORATION. July 15, 1953 [July 22, 1952; Feb. 9, 1953], No. 19639/53. Class 141. [Also in Group V] A girdle of elastic material including front and rear panels is provided with elastic stiffened areas at opposite sides adjacent the upper edge. As shown, a seamless latex pantie-girdle comprises a front portion 2, rear portion 3, crotch portion 6 and suspender tabs 7. The upper and lower edges 8, 9 are beaded and thicker areas A are provided. This may be accomplished by depositing a film on the former, dipping the corners in a coagulant and then dipping the former into a bath of latex. Alternatively, the thickened areas may be applied as patches or produced by recesses in the former or by spraying on a coagulant. In a further embodiment, the thickened portions may be of rib formation and ventilating apertures may be provided. Specification 636,344 is referred to.
