Abstract
739,354. Tents. STROMEYER & CO., L. Jan. 25, 1954 [Dec. 30, 1953], No. 2144/54. [Class 20 (1). A camping tent comprises two nook-like tent portions a, b standing separately and facing one another so as to form front and back openings in the tent, the tent portions being connected by a ridge member d over which a further tent portion f is laid overlapping the edges of the first mentioned portions to complete the tent. Portions a, b may each have a frame, Fig. 4, comprising an upright c with stays c<SP>1</SP>, c<SP>2</SP>, c<SP>3</SP>, the two portions being joined by a ridge cable d or a rod, Fig. 5 (not shown). Alternatively, Fig. 6, each frame may comprise a two-legged support i with one stay, the supports i being joined by a rod j or a cable. With the frame shown, in Fig. 4, tent surfaces e are secured to the stay wires of each frame to form the nooks and a canvas portion f completes the tent, Fig. 2. The portion f may be held open at one side by suitably stayed rods g, Fig. 3.
