Abstract
725,286. Wire fabrics. E. V. G. ENTWICKLUNGS-UND VERWERTUNGSGES. Jan. 15, 1953 [Feb. 2, 1952], No. 1268/53. Class 45. [Also in Group XXII] A wire fabric comprises zig-zag wires 1, 2, 3, 4 arranged with their arched apices 1<SP>1</SP>2<SP>1</SP>, 2<SP>1</SP>3<SP>1</SP> and 3<SP>1</SP>4<SP>1</SP> overlapping so that at each nodular point there are two crossing points S where the wires are welded together. One set of wires may be straight as shown in Fig. 3 or both sets may be of ornamental shape as shown in Fig. 4. In a congested or collapsed wire fabric both sets of wires are provided with bulges 11<SP>1</SP>, 12<SP>1</SP>, 13<SP>1</SP>, 14<SP>1</SP> pointing alternatively to opposite sides and the wires are arranged so that the bulges overlap and provide two welding spots S at each nodular point (Fig. 5). The congested fabric can be pulled out to the form shown in Fig. 1.
