Abstract
739,326. Seats. CHRISTIE TYLER, Ltd. Jan. 1, 1954, No. 83/54. Class 52 (2). In a seat of the kind having a flexible element 10 constituting a combined seat and back-rest sling between a rear anchorage 6 and a front anchorage 9, the latter comprises side members 14 spaced apart by stretchers 15 and supporting resilient members 17, each consisting of a cable spring enclosed in a sheath, which form a resilient support for element 10, the members 14 being pivotally connected to a stretcher member 8 of the seat by hinges 21 and spring loaded by tension springs 22. The element 10 of canvas supports a rubber cushion 11 trimmed with leather &c. 13.
