Abstract
737,848. Lubricating. DAIMLER-BENZ AKT.-GES. Dec. 2, 1953 [Dec. 4, 1952], No. 33511/53. Class 12 (3). Lubricating means for an internal combustion engine comprises an oil cooler 4 arranged in the duct between the oil sump 1 and the lubrication points of the engine, a feed pump 3 in advance of the cooler and a feed pump 5 connected beyond the cooler, an excess pressure valve 9 being provided between the cooler 4 and the pump 5 and an oil filter 6 followed by an excess pressure valve 10 being provided between the pump 5 and the lubrication points. The pumps 3, 5 may be gear-wheel pumps arranged on a common drive shaft. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 708,694.
