736,456. Travelling-wave tubes; magnetrons. COMPAGNIE GENERAL DE TELEGRAPHIE SANS FIL. May 20,1953 [May 29, 1952], No. 14223/53. Drawings to Specification. Class 39 (1). [Also in Group XL (b)] A delay line for a travelling-wave tube consists of two intermeshing combs mounted directly on a separate backplate. The combs are a quarter wavelength thick. The comb fingers may be rectangular, triangular or trapezoidal in cross-section. The line may be flat or curved. The tube may be an amplifier, oscillator or frequency multiplier. It may be of the magnetron type. Specification 681,425 is referred to.
