736,099. Boxes. SAXTON, S. A., and FAIRBANK, G. T. Feb. 15, 1954 [Nov. 14, 1952; March 25, 1953], Nos. 28825/52 and 8309/53. Class 18. [Also in Group XXIX] A container for a fire hose &c. comprises an inner cradle 2, open on opposite sides, fitting into an outer casing 1 which is suspended for tilting about trunnions 14 by a bracket 15. The upper wall 4 of the cradle has parts 9 entering grooves 8, filled with sealing compound, in the outer casing to form a tight joint. For quick release of the contents, the container is tilted until the cradle falls out by gravity. Compartments 17<SP>1</SP> may be provided for a dessicant. A breather valve (see Group XXIX) is provided to equalize internal and external pressure.
