734,296. Loud-speakers. COLE, Ltd., E. K., and HUTCHINGS, E. L. Nov. 16, 1953 [Nov. 15, 1952], No. 28860/52. Class 40 (4). A loud-speaker has a box-like cabinet, the front face of which has one or more deep recesses B substantially surrounding the mouth of the loud-speaker, so lowering the bass cut-off frequency. When a number of recesses are used they are of different depths. Alternative positions of the loudspeaker are shown in Figs. 2A, 2B. The loudspeaker may be circular or elliptical and mounted in a square or rectangular box.
