727,503. Facing tiles. BLAKEY, J. B. Oct. 13, 1953 [Oct. 13, 1952], No. 25553/52. Class 87 (1). A tile 3 is formed with a groove 7 in at least one edge face and with a bevelled or cut-away portion 5 along at least one other edge of its rear face. The lower flange 9 of the groove 7 is longer than the upper flange 11 and fits against an edge face 13 of an adjacent tile; the face 5 serves to press backing cement 1 into an adjacent groove 7.
