Abstract
725,631. Packaging split-pins, nails &c. TIMMERBEIL, E. R. July 14, 1953 [July 23, 1952], No. 19592/53. Class 94 (1). [Also in Groups XXII and XXV] Wire elements such as split pins 6, Fig. 3, and nails 9, Fig. 4, are assembled in strips by means of an adhesive, wherefrom the individual elements may be detached manually or by apparatus such as a stapling machine. The outer surfaces of a strip may be roughened, e.g. by embossing the pressing surfaces which engage them. In another arrangement, the nails are formed with triangular heads and have their legs spaced from each other at points remote from the heads to form barbs.
