Abstract

Cut bundles of glass filaments are coated with a water-insoluble substance, e.g. plasticized polyvinyl acetate, butadiene-acrylonitrile with a phenolic resin, polyester resin, or butylated melamine and raw castor oil, or regenerated cellulose; and an aqueous slurry thereof which may include fibres of ground wood kraft, hennequen, hemp, sisal, cotton, or "dispersible" glass, or nylon filaments, is accretion moulded into e.g. cases or cabinets &c.
