722,977. Metal barrels. LONDON ALUMINIUM CO., Ltd. Dec. 2, 1953 [Dec. 2, 1952], No. 30485/62. Class 66. A metal barrel comprising two cup-shaped parts 7 has a gap 10 formed in each of the two parts 7 into which is secured a half-plate 11 embodying half of the filling-opening or bunghole 12, the abutting edges of the cup-shaped parts 7 and of the plates 11 being welded together. The barrel may have swagings 8 continued at 14 on the plates 11 but the interior surface of the plates is left plain adjacent the opening 12 to allow of complete drainage.
