Abstract
722,561. Unloading material from storage chambers by fluidization. EONIT ENGINEERING CO., Ltd. Aug. 12, 1953 [Aug. 14, 1952], No. 20482/52. Classes 78 (1) and 78 (4). In a shallow hopper 1, Fig. 1, for cement and other finely-ground materials provided with a bottom inclined at an angle of about seven degrees to the horizontal towards an outlet 3, the bottom is composed of four panels 4, Fig. 2, each of which comprises a steel plate 4 and supports a. canvas or like flexible porous diaphragm 7, Fig. 6. Each plate has holes 11 through which low-pressure air is supplied to the space below the canvas to aerate the cement and facilitate its flow to the outlet. The canvas is stretched over a wire frame 5 to which wire mesh 6 is secured.
