Abstract

986,559. Discharging material from a hopper. C. V. BRINDLEY. Feb. 20, 1964 [April 9, 1963], No. 14121/63. Heading B8S. Powdered material is fed from hopper 10 through vertical cylindrical sieve 12 and out through mesh 18 by vibrations which are communicated to the hopper from vibrator 22. The passage of material through mesh 18 is assisted by ball 20, the material falling through pipe 13 into shoot 26 and being delivered at 34 by air from fan 28. The inlet to mesh 12 is covered by plate 16.
