Class 38(5) A contact spring comprises an initially-stiff U-shaped, wire member A which is rendered flexible at a point B on each arm by swaging sc as to decrease the longitudinal section at this point. The spring is clamped adjacent its closed end in a stack. Fig. 3, the co-operating fixed contact being of similar shape but reversed so that the moving ends of the spring A cooperate with the closed end of the fixed contact.
