Abstract

715,758. Guiding and tensioning selvedge threads in looms. BADDELEY, C. H. Oct. 28, 1952 [Aug. 4, 1951], No. 18513/51. Class 142(2) Selvedge threads are led from bobbins 4 through holes in a plate 5, through perforations in a stirrup 9 mounted on a shaft 6 mounted on the loom frame, and thence under or over a spring-loaded multigrooved roller 15 carried by the stirrup and over or under a counterweighted multigrooved roller 10 on the shaft 6. From roller 10 the threads pass under or over chamfered discs 19 mounted on a shaft 17 and thence pass through the mails to the piece beam.
