Class 78 (4) The outlines in plan view of the upper and lower decks A and B, Fig. 1, of a pallet are circular, or polygonal with more than four sides, and the two decks are spaced apart either by a single central pedestal 2. Fig. 1 or by a series of verticals 10, Fig. 6. so permitting access from any of several directions. Both decks of the pallet of Fig. 1 comprise a series of wooden lengths 4 supported on members 7 and, in the case of the lower deck B, intermediate strips 8. In the arrangement of Fig. 6 the decks are spaced apart by legs 10 each of which comprises a spacing sleeve through which passes a fixing bolt 11.
