Class 120(2) In means for producing a transfer tail on a yarn package on a bobbin the lower flange a<SP>2</SP> of a bobbin A is supported on a disc-like bobbin carrier B<SP>1</SP>, the bobbin and carrier being connected so that they will rotate together about a central spindle C, the carrier B<SP>1</SP> rests on a drag ring E<SP>1</SP> having a tube E extending upwards therefrom which surrounds the carrier B<SP>1</SP> and the greater part of the lower flange a<SP>2</SP> of the bobbin, this part being reduced in diameter to be a running fit inside the tube, and the lower flange of the bobbin is provided with a lead-in groove a<SP>4</SP> inclined in the direction of rotation of the bobbin and a portion of the upper edge of the tube E is cut away to form a recess e, the forward end e<SP>1</SP> of this recess in the direction of rotation of the bobbin being inclined or undercut. As shown, the connecting means between the carrier and the bobbin comprise pegs b. Specification 707.730 is referred to.
