Abstract
706,619. Endless conveyers. OELLRICH, A., [trading as MASCHINENFABRIK UND EISENGIESSEREI A. BEIEN]. July 20, 1950 [Aug. 4, 1949], No. 18161/50. Class 78 (1) Gearing between a main motor and a conveyer is in mesh with a gear wheel driven by an auxiliary motor through a clutch, the operation of this clutch being controlled by the control means for the auxiliary motor whereby the clutch is engaged and disengaged simultaneously with the starting and stopping of said motor. The main electric motor 2 drives through a pinion 3 a gear wheel 4 further geared to a belt conveyer driving drum 1. The auxiliary fluid motor 8 is supplied with fluid from a conduit 16 through a valve 15 and also drives gear wheel 4 through a clutch 9 and a pinion 17. Clutch 9. is engaged simultaneously with supply of fluid to the auxiliary motor 8 upon opening valve 15, the fluid flowing to the motor also flowing through pipe 13 to a cylinder 10 having a piston 11 coupled to the clutch to engage it. A spring causes disengagement when the fluid supply is 'cut off.
