Abstract

699,312. Converting. ELECTRIC & MUSICAL INDUSTRIES, Ltd. May 14, 1952 [May 23, 1951], No. 12016/51. Class :38 (ii). The anode voltage for a cathode-ray tube is derived from the anode 8 of the line scanning output valve of a television receiver through a diode 19 connected to anode 8 through an inductance 21 which with associated capacity 22 forms a series resonant circuit to raise the voltage applied to the diode 19. Capacity 22 is the stray capacity which may be increased by a condenser. The resonant circuit may be tuned to the third harmonic of the anode 8 oscillations. The Figure also shows an economy diode 11 connected to tapping-points on two parallel connected scanning coils 6, 7. Specification 482,370, [Group XL], is referred to.
