693,882. Tyre levers. HACKETT, N. H. Nov. 20, 1951 [Nov. 30, 1950], No. 27155/51. Class 144 (i). A tyre-mounting tool comprises a hand lever 16 pivoted at one end of a member 10, the other end of which is fitted with a yoke (or collar) 12 to straddle the axle 35 of a motor-cycle wheel 34, Fig. 2, and a lug 13 to engage one of the boltholes 31, Fig. 3, in a car &c. wheel. For adjusting the operative length of the member 10, the connections thereto of the lever and yoke may consist of right-and-left threaded bolts; or, the yoke element may be outwardly thrust by means of a spring-loaded plunger. The operative end of the lever may be formed with serrations &c. 23 to grip the tyre-bead 21; and, a foot-plate 26 may be provided on the lever for forcing the bead over the rim-edge.
