Abstract

692,928. Rotary pump. WALSH, W. Feb. 15, 1951 [Feb. 16, 1950], No. 3937/50. Class 110(ii) The pump comprises an oval or elliptical rotor 8 surrounded by a tyre 7 of rubber or plastic material, and provided with a roller abutment 6 pressed upon by a spring 3. A recess 1f, between suction and delivery ports 1a, 1b, is lined with rubber or plastic material. The diameter of the roller is at least twice the difference between the major and minor axes of the rotor. At the ends of the working chamber, renewable side plates are provided.
