Abstract
703,761. Rotary pumps. WIDDOWS, L. Dec. 18, 1951 [Dec. 18, 1950], No. 30762/50. Class 110 (2) Sliding-vanes 5, 'carried by an eccentric rotor 1, in a stator 8 are kept in contact with the stator bore by means of a floating member 7. Each curved portion of the latter has a radius equal to the radius of the stator bore. The stator may be fixed; Fig. 1 (not shown) or may be laterally movable, as shown, to vary the capacity of the pump. A lock-nut 12 maintains-the stator in one position.
