Abstract
686,379. Mounting vehicle lamps. NEALE & SONS, Ltd., J., and NEALE, M. R. April 11, 1950 [April 8, 1949], No. 9576/49. Class 75(iii) In an electric lamp for road vehicles of the kind in which the lamp body is adjustably attached to a bracket for adjustably connecting it to the vehicle or an accessory thereof, the lamp body 1, Fig. 3, is connected to its supporting bracket 2 by a clamping bolt - -,device providing for relative adjustment of the body and bracket vertically, laterally, and angularly. The lamp body 1 is clamped against a concave seating part 3 of the bracket 2 by a wing- nut 11 and a bolt 8, which passes through a hole 5 in the body 1 and has a head 7 secured to a clamping plate 6, relative adjustment between the body 1 and the bracket 2 being permitted by clearance between the hole 5 and the bolt 8. The bracket 2 is pivotally connected by a pin 12 to a bolt 13 which may be either vertical, as shown, or horizontal or inclined, and secured .by a nut 16 and clamping plate 14 to the vehicle part or accessory.
