A body for a motor vehicle of cellular construction, particularly the middle cell of a three-cell vehicle, comprises an upper part and a lower part which are joined together. The upper part which may be produced in two longitudinal parts joined along a central line, comprises a roof portion 1 and side walls 2, and may have side sills 5. The end walls 3 and the floor plate 4 may be produced separately or from one piece.
