Abstract

680,095. Pulse frequency dividing circuits. PHILIPS ELECTRICAL INDUSTRIES, Ltd. Aug. 7, 1951, No. 18561/51. Class 40 (vi). The screen grid of a pentode feeds pulses to a step-generating circuit comprising capacitors 13, 14 and diodes 15, 16 to cause the suppressor grid to become increasingly positive until anode current commences to flow, the voltage generated across the secondary of transformer 20 driving the suppressor grid further positive to discharge capacitor 14 by suppressor grid current and thus reset the step generating circuit. The input is applied in the form of negative pulses to the control grid of an amplitude greater than the grid base, positive pulses of substantially constant amplitude appearing in the screen grid circuit.
