Abstract

678,651. Windows. LUKACS, F. March 27, 1951 [March 27, 1950], No. 7042/51. Class 20(iii) In a quadruple glazed window, at least two of the panes are carried in separate removable frames. In one form, Fig. 3, the window consists of a main sash frame 9 hinged to a window frame 7 and into which is puttied a pane 10d. The frame 9 also carries intermediate frames 11, 12 and 13 which support panes 10c, 10b and 10a, the assembly being held together by bolts 15. Alternatively existing single or double glazed windows can be converted into quadruple glazed windows by securing additional glazed frames to the existing frame, Figs. 1 and 2, (not shown).
