Class 69 (ii) [Also in Group XXXI] A cycle propelled by hydraulic mechanism comprises an eccentric fluid motor A operated by a twin cylinder reciprocating pump having two pistons U, V mounted on a common connecting rod W. Two crank levers J, K are attached to pinion segments R, S which on oscillation of the levers J, K .cause the racked connecting rod W to reciprocate within cylinders F, G, thus operating pistons U, V. Fluid contained in cylinders F, G is displaced and expelled along tube members D, E through a vane-type fluid motor A which is in constant mesh with the cycle road wheel. Braking is effected by closing the flow at valve B. A fluid bye-pass valve C allows free rotation of the road wheel when the crank levers J, K are stationary.
